Southern Indiana Resource Solutions has success story after success story of the clients that they have served over the years. One such story is of Brian, who was diagnosed with Central Nervous System Dysfunction. Seeing his limp body when he began services at age one, the SIRS staff and family were determined to negate the doctor's prognosis of Brian being severely delayed in his motor functions. With weekly sessions of occupational, physical, developmental and speech therapy, Brian was able to walk unassisted by age three to receive a SIRS Outstanding Progress Award.
Without early intervention services, that family feels that Brian would not have progressed to the level he is today. Today, at age 14, Brian runs, swims, rides a bike and can communicate effectively with his family and peers. His favorite past time is riding in his golf cart, listening to music and playing on his computer.
SIRS is very thankful for funding from United Way of Perry County that helps them provide their outstanding services to the citizens of our Southern Indiana community.
