United Way of Perry County thanks the Cail Family for their donation of the Indiana
Association of United Ways Bison-tennial
Public Art Project to Perry County. In partnership with the Indiana Bicentennial Commission, this officially endorsed legacy project aims to celebrate Indiana’s rich and diverse history and unique features.
Perry County's Bison was dedicated during Tell City's annual Schweizer Fest by the United Way of Perry County board of trustees and the Cail Family, the local sponsors of the bison. It will be located in Tell City's City Hall Park and carry a bronze plaque commemorating Indiana's Bicentennial and the Cail Family. Indiana’s Bicentennial will culminate on Statehood Day
on December 11, 2016.
“We at United Way of Perry
County are excited for this unique way to engage our community in this
state-wide project. We believe it has been a great opportunity to display our
county pride and individuality while boosting awareness about Indiana United
Ways’ community efforts and initiatives,” said Linda Reed,
President of the United Way of Perry County Board of Trustees.
